Auntie Mazda | Iya Ifágbàmi is a spiritual worker, teacher, Iyanifa, and Hoodoo practitioner rooted in God, the Ancestors, and African-descended spiritual traditions. Her work bridges the Black church, ancestor veneration, spiritual practice, and lived experience, supporting people across a wide range of spiritual backgrounds.
She was raised and trained in the Black church and served as a licensed Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ. That foundation shaped her grounding in prayer, spiritual discipline, discernment, and spiritual work. Over time, her path expanded through deconstruction, healing, and ancestral remembrance, allowing her to separate faith from fear and spirituality from control.
Today, Auntie Mazda also walks as an initiated priestess of Ifá (Iyanifa), embracing her spirituality holistically by working in alignment with spiritual law, ancestral responsibility, and lived tradition. She meets people where they are—whether rooted in church, actively deconstructing, exploring spirituality or seeking clarity.
As a teacher and spiritual guide, she supports individuals and communities in reconnecting with their ancestors, understanding their spiritual makeup, developing discernment, and moving out of fear-based spirituality into aligned living.
Auntie Mazda's approach centers truth, integrity, and community, with the belief that spirituality should fulfill daily life, not fragment it.
